The Brief
Energy Retrofit Ireland needed a modern Laravel website that could explain retrofit services, preserve existing SEO URLs, capture qualified site-survey leads, publish project work and give staff admin control over content, media, SEO and enquiries.
Challenge
The retrofit site had to cover construction, insulation, SEAI grants, deep retrofit services and project proof without losing existing search visibility. The old URL structure needed to be preserved while adding clearer conversion paths for homeowners looking for grants, BER guidance and a free site survey.
Solution
The Laravel build maps legacy public routes into a structured service library, including insulation, heating, deep retrofit, grant support, renovations and commercial work. It includes SEAI grant pages, a site-survey booking form, project case studies, testimonials, search, Canvas blog support and admin-managed SEO, banners, projects, media and leads.
Lead Capture
The booking flow captures contact details, property age, home type, BER rating, preferred timeframe, Eircode or manual address and selected renovation work. Grant calculator context can be carried into the lead record, stored in the database and sent through notification emails for follow-up.
Edge Cases
The implementation handles preserved route names, short service aliases, validated calculator query data, Eircode normalization, manual-address fallback, reCAPTCHA validation, transactional lead storage, email failure rollback, searchable project/page content and admin-generated SEO data for public pages.
Outcome
The result is a public retrofit platform that gives homeowners direct paths into grants, services, projects and booking, while giving the business a maintainable backend for pages, SEO, media, projects and lead handling.
